Masculine Birthday Card

My husband's birthday was at the end of February and I made him a card out of the Victory paper packet, it is a great masculine paper.  It is perfect for birthday cards and Father's Day cards.

I used the Evergreen Cork Shapes and round Durable Studs.  The great thing about both of those items is they have adhesive on the back so all you have do is stick them down were you want them.

The picture above is a close up on the cork shape and metal studs.  As you can see I have stamped my sentiment on the cork and edged it with chocolate ink.  They both are really great masculine touch to the card.

A Journey

Here is a masculine card I made with the A sized stamp set A Journey.  I find it hard to make masculine cards because they are best kept simple and I just want to "junk up" the cards I make!  Thats what I really like about the A sized stamp set, you have all the stamps you need for one card.

I made the base for this card out of kraft paper which has a natural roughness to it.  I then used the star paper from the Superhero paper packet and added some olive cardstock to it.  For a little heavy metal I added the square Durables Studs.

I really like to decorate the inside of the cards, I layered the star paper and colonial white cardstock and stamped the trees on the bottom.  I think it really brings the whole card together.  This card only took me about 15 minutes to create and within that time I easily created a nice masculine card!

Hooray For You

This card is also made out of Stella and one of the new die-cut cards.  I cut the flower out of sunset cardstock using the Close to My Heart exclusive Cricut cartridge and then sponged the edges with tulip ink.  I curled the edges on the flower under and added a gold shimmer brad.

Quick Cards-Shell

Okay so I had said I would be posting a video showing how easy these cards really are, well life definitely got in the way of that this week.  Between Sophia and I getting bad colds, she had her four month shots on Friday and was very grumpy over the weekend.  Which is why these stamp sets are so great, like I said before it takes a little bit of time to make a great card.

I used the Stella paper packet for this card, the Quick Card stamp set - Shell, and the great seam binding ribbon.  I inked the stamp with sponge daubers and daubed sunset ink on the shell image, then adding lagoon and olive ink on the outside.  I colored the ribbon with sunset re-inker and rubbing alcohol.  I was pleased how the card turned out, and it doesn't get much better when I know that I can make a card in no time even though my week can be a little crazy!
